Lorice comes in many styles and flavors, but nothing is quite like Australian-style licorice. When an Australian family vacationing in the States realized that they couldn't find their favorite treat, they knew that there was an opportunity. They set up shop in Washington state and found that there was indeed a market for the unique, soft style of licorice that Australia loves. They named the product after the Kookaburra bird, which is native to Australia. Today you can find Kookaburra licorice in a variety of styles, all created in the mold of the Australian originals.
