Thompson Chocolate creates specialized, individually-wrapped chocolates in unique shapes. The founder, Willam H. Thompson, set up shop in 1879 with a goal of creating fine, pure chocolates. The company became known for its foil-wrapped chocolate bunnies on Easter, but Thompson wanted to be more than a seasonal candy supplier. While they still do produce specialty lines for Christmas, Chanukah, Easter, Halloween, and more, they also have a more general line of chocolates. If you've had gold coins, chances are they were from Thompson. They make It's a Boyu and It's a Girl chocolate cigars, perfect for the non-smoker new parent. Their line of sports chocolates, including mini racing cars, are always a hit with the kids. While people might not recognize their chocolates by names, most people have enjoyed Thompson Chocolates in the last 130 years.
