The Ferrara Candy Company originally operated as the Ferrara Pan Candy Company. They make and distribute a large number of individually wrapped and gummy candies, many of which are household names. Perhaps their most famous candy creation is the Atomic Fireball, developed in the mid-50s. They about 20 years after the spicy cinammon candy Red Hots, which Ferrara developed in the 30s. Original Boston Bake Beans also come from Ferrara, as do the popular Lemonhead candies. If you've ever seen Black Forest Gummy candies, those are Ferrara as well. In 2012 the company merged with candy brand giant Farley's & Sather to create one of the largest candy companies in the US, simply named Ferrara Candy Company (they dropped the Pan). The combined company ranks among the top 20 candy makers in the US, with over $1 billion in annual sales.
