When Boyer bought Clark bars from Necco - after Necco's bankruptcy - they took their time getting the Clark Bar production line just right. When they had the flavors down, but the shape needed work, they started using their misshapen test Clark Bars in chocolate candy cups. Boyer, after all, has been making Mallo Cups for decades. So, making a Clark Cup candy was an easy move, and it turns out to be absolutely delicious.
