Impact Confections manufacturs 10 different candies, but chances are you know them for just one. They didn't create the Warheads candies, but they acquired the brand in 2004. Active in foreign markets for years, they finally appeared in the US in 1993 and were an instant sensation. The individually wrapped sour candies puckered lips more than any other of its kind. In the beginning there was also a spicy hot Warheads candy, but that was soon discontinued to focus on the popular sour line. They are currently available in five flavors, and a number of spinoff products have appeared in recent years. Impact also creates novelty candies, including Soda Pop Candy, Paint Shop Lollipops, and Buggin Glow Pops. But their most popular brand remains Warhead, whether they be the original tablets or one of the newer lines such as chewable Warheads and Warheads Super Sour Double Drop.
