When it comes to candy technology and innovation, perhaps no confectionary tops Albanese. Opened in 1983, they immediately started producing European-style chocolates and gummy products. That was right around the time that Haribo started selling its gummies in the US, and when Trolli started popularizing its own line of gummy products. After 15 years of making gummies, Albanese had a breakthrough. They developed a process that released more flavor from the gelatins in their gummies. But they didn't stop there. Three years later they found a way to infuse gummies with even more sour flavor, puckering lips across the country. Today they sell gummies of many varieties, including bears, worms, fruits, rings, fish, and more. They even created a process to infuse gummies with Omega-3 fatty acids in 2006. Nominated multiple times for the Professional Candy Buyer's Product of the Year award, Albanese continues to offer the highest quality gummies.
